A 25,080 Spindle Spinning Unit was lying closed in the hands of Government of Orissa at Sundergarh, ORISSA for almost 5 years. The Late father of the Chairman acquired the same in the Year 1993 and handed over the reigns of the mill to be looked after by Mr. Patodia Senior and journey for his first industrial venture in the field of Textile began therefrom.

Year 2002 was the year when the management took to modernization of the mill with state of art machines be it indigenous or ex-imports in the 1st Phase. The modernization included all preparatory machines with the replacement of old generation lap feed cards to Chute feed new generation Cards, Auto-leveler Draw Frames and new generation Speed Frames. Production of Combed Yarn also started in the mill for the first time.

 

 
Year 2003 saw the first expansion in the mill when new 8,976 spindles of TOYODA were installed and mill capacity increased to 34,056 spindles.

The Year also saw the installation of 3 new Schlafhorst Auto-Coners 338 with Siro Clearing mounted on Uster Quantum.The mill received delivery of 2 nos. of new generation Trutzschler TC 03 cards being the first in Eastern India and new generation Zinser ZTS 68i Speed Frame.

Year 2005 saw introduction of 5,024 new generation Spindles with Auto-doffing Rieter Ring Frames. This replacement was of old spindles of almost equal nos. Further additions continued at regular interval with the latest addition of 3,168 Spindles in the year 2010. Production of Compact Yarn is proposed in coming years.
